In every story — whether happy or not — there’s something magical about the beginning. Some start with a dream, others by coincidence, others even by adversity. But when they lead to happiness, there’s always a nostalgic charm in the narrative of “how it all began.”
The founders behind
the vision
It’s amusing when Carla, one of the company’s CEOs, recalls how, together with Hélder and André (also CEOs), they started this big family. They are the strong pillars keeping us united and aligned to achieve great things.
The seeds of
something greater
More than 20 years ago, they were the ones drawing, producing, and assembling the furniture. To clients, they claimed to have a large team in the background — but in fact, the team was just themselves. They laugh when they say it, a bit sheepishly. That’s how they protected what they thought was small — while actually giving rise to this great project called Interdesign.
A growing family,
a global vision
Today, we have stores spread across Portugal from north to south. The family grew from three to almost five hundred. We began international expansion in the late 2000s and continue to excel at what we do best: creating trends.
On days when everything seems to look the same, we strive relentlessly for Interdesign to always be more. More innovation, more efficiency, more quality. More of us — and a little of you.
It’s in smiles and in making dreams come true that we find our strength.
A Family
without faces
When asked about putting a face to Interdesign, they made it clear: the intention is to keep the family united, without representative faces diminishing the anonymous contributors’ work. We loved the answer!
