Here Lives a Happy Family by Interdesign
From the moment we start designing the project to seeing it come to life, it feels as if we become part of each family and their routines. We don’t just enter their homes; we enter their lives to build a space designed for their unique dynamics.
Today, we share one of these special projects for equally special clients. The challenge was to decorate a T4 duplex located in Castelo Branco.
A full house with a fantastic family and four children. A space that aimed to be warm and personal, with areas designed for each individual and common spaces for family moments that create lasting memories.
This project fills us with pride, which is why we share the final result:
Hall
Upon entering the home, we are welcomed by an elegant yet striking hall that combines a play of lights and mirrors. Our gaze is drawn to the chosen rug, which becomes a statement piece and fills the space, making it warmer.
Suite
With a large family, life is always an adventure, so the parents’ bedroom needs to be a zone of rest and tranquility to recharge. Neutral tones dominate the space, which gains vibrancy with touches of burgundy.
To allow for relaxation and enjoyment, we wanted to include a TV without sacrificing a mirror. The solution? A magic mirror that serves both functions—at Interdesign, nothing is impossible. This way, we were able to optimize the space and fulfill our clients’ dreams.
Girl/Boy Room
In a large family, learning to share is one of the key lessons. The couple’s younger children share a room, and our eyes immediately lit up, sparking our creativity.
The main points to consider:
– A boy and a girl
– Different ages
Our focus was to make the room versatile and suitable for both children. To unify the space, we opted for neutral tones like white and beige, particularly in the animal-themed wallpaper, which appeals to all tastes. To give individuality to the space, we added blue and pink elements to define each child’s area, creating perfect harmony.
The highlight is the clouds applied to the wall, which serve as a light point for the family’s baby, along with the Athum vanity, perfect for playing or studying.
Living Room
The common areas are the soul of the home, where the excitement happens and unique family moments are lived. In this house, we found an open space where two environments were created: the dining room and the living room.
In the dining room, a striking 3-meter table stands out, perfect for gathering the whole family and friends, enhanced by special lighting from the hanging lamps that descend from the upper floor, giving it a modern and elegant look. To complement, we placed our Cosy sideboard, a timeless piece that is a true must-have.
For the living room, we chose Athum sofas, providing seating for everyone. The neutral tones of the sofas and armchairs, along with the energy of the space, invite many evenings of family conversations.
Upper Hall
And because every detail matters, the upper hall could not be overlooked. Coherence was the guiding principle, with wall sconces that match the living room chandelier and a rug that connects to the entrance hall, creating a perfect passage area.
Upper Floor Bedrooms
For the older daughters, we created two distinctly feminine rooms, featuring their favorite colors: one in pink and the other in turquoise blue.
In a clean, light-filled environment where light tones prevail, the contemporary design of each space stands out, with different touches reflecting each personality. Decorative elements like lamps and wall art bring the rooms to life, making them even more inviting.
The result? A home where a happy family lives!
